Body Attack

For the first time ever, this week I took Body Attack. For those of you who are saying “what in God’s name is Body Attack?”, I’ll explain. Its a 60 minute class in which 50 minutes of said class is used to try and kill you. A friend once described it as “Jane Fonda on crack”. I love Body Combat (a mixed martial arts class), and people who love that class told me to try Body Attack (I am planning to hunt those people down and leave flaming poo bags on their porches). So I submitted myself to something new, and tried this class.

As a form of torture, I would say this class rates a 10. With jumping lunges (yeay, now my legs and feet feel like flaming sacks of what I’m leaving on my “friends'” porches), burpees (let me explain- squat down and put your hands next to your feet so you look like a frog, jump back into a plank, now jump up as high as you can, repeat. Do as fast as you can 8 billion times), then run in circles until you vomit. Repeat. At the end of the class, I had burned close to 750 calories (I have a heart rate monitor that tells me what I did).

We’ve all heard the saying “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results”- but I plan to do this class over and over. But if my blog comes to a sudden end, it means this class has killed me. . . or one of my “friends” caught me leaving flaming poo on their doorstep.
